A couple of weeks ago I received my first ever gather gift card - yay! I let all my points accumulate for several months, so this is my first Target gift card from gather.
THANK YOU GATHER and THANK YOU TO ALL MY GATHER FRIENDS!
I intended to spend my Target card on flowers and a flower pot, but became side tracked and purchased some cool Halloween decor instead.
I loved these Halloween plates from Target - dishwasher safe.
...and a black dish towel with skull.
Ahem, I had strawberry cake for breakfast:)

Friday I drug my old and rusty, black wrought iron bench up to the fence
and decorated all around it.

I found this welcome sign a couple of years ago and I just love it.

It's all still a work in progress.
The black cat 'Spells' tomb stone was my first gc purchase.

All other items are my regular outdoor decor, usually kept in different parts of my garden.
The black cauldron - it's ceramic and makes a great flower pot.
The cauldron and flowers were the next items that I purchased with my gift card from gather.
Golden yellow - autumn color.

Below: Last year, the black spider was on the wall in the dining room amidst white cobwebs against my orange wall.
This year I thought I'd celebrate our new garden gate and let the black spider greet our guests for now and at our next football get-to-gether on Oct 26, 2008.

It's all still in a work in progress.
Left: Small black witch candle holder sitting on top of our fence.
I have always enjoyed decorating for fall, because I believe it is a good thing to celebrate the seasons of our life.
A few home made pumpkin lanterns and a few more deep golden yellow flowers should complete this years fall decor nicely.

I have a spider welcoming guests too, but mine is REAL! Not as big or cool as yours either!!

I love all of your halloween decorations!
congrats on your g.c. Bless you sweetie...
the bears are all asleep... they will try to visit later... hehe... love and hugs...
Now I feel like cake.
on your first gift card!!
And I just L-O-V-E your decos!! MUAH-HAH-HAH-HAH-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!
One year (back when I worked for the wholesale nursery), I took one of my center flowerbeds (about 6' x 5') in front of the house when we lived in town and planted bright yellow pansies in the center, surrounded by bright, bright orange pansies and then a border of "Swiss BLACK" pansies around the outside edge... I can't TELL you how many, many people walking down the street actually STOPPED in mid stride just to look at that bed of pansies! The Swiss black pansies are kind of "ruffled" around the outside edge of the petals and the petals are "velvety" (and very, VERY BLACK)... It WAS pretty cool!
But, I've always wanted to have a red, white and blue flowerbed for the 4th of July. One of these day...
Magi - why thank you:)
Elizabeth/Bob - I try to be different:) The stop in for a spell is my favorite too.
Marianne - they had a cool arch with lights and all, but I figured I'd rather have things that I can store without a hassle.
Thank you all my gather friends for commenting - I really appreciate it!
