I think come election day it will be a surprise to a lot of people how many end up voting Mccain once they get in the booth and think about electing an inexperienced junior senator to the highest office we have.
I am curious though why you are supporting McCain? What do you see that he will do differently from Bush?
John McCain is pulling his campaign out of Michigan, taking down his TV ads there and moving campaign staff to other states. ~ Michigan was the McCain campaign's best chance to flip a big electoral state from blue to red. ~ The latest polls from Michigan have Obama up anywhere from three to thirteen points. But apparently the McCain campaign thinks that margin--at least now--is insurmountable. Michigan isn't the only battleground that has turned Obama's way recently. "
"This makes it very easy for Obama to reach 260 electoral votes, only nine away from a tie and ten away from a win even without Florida and Ohio. Further, Obama leads narrowly in Colorado, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Virginia. Two other states, Indiana and Missouri remain very tight. For McCain to win, he would have to sweep Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia, plus taking one out of two in Nevada and New Hampshire."
Happy Trails !
I just don't think the polls are showing the big picture. Let's face it, we saw the young people come out in force for the Democratic Primaries, starting in Iowa and so it went throughout the country. This is a Democratic election year, and the motto is "Throws the Bums Out." That includes McCain
age 18-24 16.6% vote
25-34 28%
35-44 40.7%
45-54 50.7%
55-64 63.3%
No data for older than that.If that small of a percentage of the youth vote shows up on election day.....
Couldn't agree more.
Michgian Democrats are ripe for lossing, they are so centered on Detroit and the UAW they can't see the world has changed and simply giving kids high school diplomas doesn't prepare them for anything let alone working in the new age.
Even the Universities (who are raising tuition at a astounding rate) are still thumbing their noses at the public by blaming one Consittuional amendment for lack of recruits and simply ignoring another amendment.
I wish Plain would come to Michigan for a day, she could do more for the state than whole Republican party, and might just win the state for McCain.
