Palin did not help John McCain's chances; she only helped herself, by stopping the bleeding and embarrassment to the Republican Party for her past idiocy and blunders! Palin's display during the debate, only revealed even a trained puppy with thorough coaching can actually put two sentences together, not a high bar to rise above, if you ask most. Yet some people apparently seem very impressed with scripted lines and no substance, but the majority of the American people have already made their case.
For even some Republicans stated after the vice presidential debate, Joe Biden was clearly more knowledgeable and better equipped to be the Vice President. To be more concise, many high authorities said this was the best-executed debate Biden has ever done! He firmly commanded this debate, and was concise and clear on every issue plaguing this country. Matter of fact, the majority of constituents on the other side of the aisle was clearly shocked and surprised Palin was able to in fact converse on any kind of intellectual level!
Biden clearly won the debate; not only by poll data, but this was also relatively revealed by the undecided panel in Ohio. Republicans apparently do not set a very high bar for their candidates or expectations or substance of what a vice presidential candidate must possess to hold the second highest office in the United States. They prove this by their diminutive attempt to clearly spin conventional rhetoric to the American people, and dwell in their failing party's petty fantasy.
Not only did Palin dodge questions on the housing and bankruptcy and deregulatory issues when ask, she out right lied about the commanding general in Iraq saying the surge would work in Afghanistan the same as it did in Iraq! After Biden had clearly stated that the commanding General had clearly stated in fact it would not. On that issue, today people learning from the fact finders, she was clearly wrong! Clearly one more scathing LIE!
Leaving most to guess that she on these issues or facts was not thoroughly versed or scripted! Palin either chose to completely by pass the questions on such issues, or she would try and twist the facts or adversely resource to an outright lie to try and win points, but it clearly did not work! Biden would only strike back firmly refuting her fallacies! Biden was a true regal gentlemen, never once allowing Palin to goad him into her parties pettiness of gender play. Which was fully transparent, by Palin frequently trying to bring it into play with her irritating, ineffective, cocky-condescending behavior and remarks.
Though with that said, this debate does not change the dynamics of the election in any conceivable way! For neither of these two candidates are running for The President of the United States! Obama and McCain are! AND JUST IN CASE SOME HAVE NOT NOTICED! The national polls and electoral votes clearly speak for the people. Revealing, that the majority of Americans' overwhelming belief is Senator Obama is the better man to run this country, not McCain with all is erratic and flip flop behavior, while carrying out his faltering campaign. So spin it Republicans however you please, and if it makes you feel better, that is great! For in the end it makes no difference for OBAMA WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

It is so obvious to anyone she is clearly not ready to be in any kind of Federal office. Like I told my fiancee last night while we were watching, it is almost sad really because I do think she has potential. I don't think I will ever agree with everything she has to say but I do see her trying. The only problem is this kind of position is not an on the job training type of position. You have to be able to hit the ground running and it is so obvious Joe Biden is the candidate that can fill those shoes.

Gen. David McKiernan, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, was quoted on Oct. 2 in The Washington Post as saying that "no Iraq-style 'surge' of forces will end the conflict" in Afghanistan, even though more U.S. troops are needed to take on a growing insurgency.
Biden quoted the general and she turned around and said point blank the general never said that. Of course she did not read the newspapers of the day. She was rehearsing so hard for the debate.
