I really wanted George Bush Jr. to succeed. I really did. He's our president and our political leader. I stood behind him in the military as my commander in chief. I gave him every benefit. I wanted him to succeed for America's sake. He really let me down.
Travelling around the world during his eight years has made me see just how far we Americans have fallen in the world's eye. We were respected and admired across the globe. But junior rubbed the shine off of America's greatness by aggressively attacking another country. He thumbed his nose at the other world leaders. He lied.
He reneged on promises he made to North Korea. He supported regimes who enslave their own people (China) by not boycotting the Olympic opening ceremonies. We paid for him to act like an azz on the world stage. Just like Clinton did, he has used his last year in office to take an around the world vacation at taxpayer expense.
At home, he stood by and licked his lips while gasoline prices went through the roof and his family and cronies could reap (or is it rape) record oil profits. He said the government shouldn't get involved with the free market... Yet... Yet... Yet... Now President Two Face demands we bailout his wall street buddies to the tune of $700 billion. But first let's give more subsidies to oil baron billionaires. All the while keeping green energy locked in the closet.
He has used his guano touch- to turn everything into sh!t. I despise his arrogance and his crappy little smirk. The fact is, that since he is representing us (all American's) across the globe, I want to cover my head and barf. He should hold his tongue and keep his mouth shut until after he is out of office. He has cried wolf too many times so that now no one believes a word he says.
As a conservative myself it pains me to say this... but I agree with the democrats this time around... the one good thing about this election is... No Bush! Finally Bush seems to have united the country... against him!
Just who the hell does that little tyrant work for ?

BTW, you aren't alone in your feelings. I have several Rep. friends that for the first time ever, they will cross party lines and vote Dem.
Great article. Thank you.
In terms of real Americans, and America in general, of course, he HAS been a cataclysmic failure beyond measure, and a president that will undoubtedly be remembered as the abject failure that he is, however.
I also feel that you're incorrect about there being no bush this election. McCain represents, in virtually every aspect, another bush term. In fact, he may actually be WORSE, if that's even believable.
Clark, you made me stop and think in one of your articles/posts earlier this year. I took a step back and looked at what george jr has done and saw the way he has consolidated power. Glad he is leaving town.
