Twinkle Twinkle Periwinkle... (Rainbow Connection's New Color of the Week!)

If hard pressed to pick a favorite color, Periwinkle Blue would be mine.

Soft, serene, soothing, subtle...

Periwinkle is neither blue nor purple, but an beautiful blend of both.

 

More blue than lavender, more lavender than blue...

This week at Rainbow Connections, we'll see which of you comes closest to the hue. 

 

Once you start looking, you'll see periwinkle blue in the nighttime sky...

In flowers and fields...

And in unexpected places known to only you...

Marianne, this will be hard to get exactly right because everyone's color settings are a little different. I have 3 computers at three houses and the various shades look different at each place.

As always, I won't delete things that look a little too blue or a little too purple, but I would appreciate it if people can stick as closely as possible to periwinkle.

Very pretty, I think it will be hard to find the right color as a lot of this does look purple. I know what you mean about different computers. I will see what I can find. Good luck everyone.

this is like having one blue eye and one brown, cross your eyes and a different color is found but not quite blended well! Hard one, will take a bit of a closer look...a challenge ;)
