Halloween Luminaria - Easy craft

Light up the night with of easy-to-make mummy luminarias!  They're bright and safe for the trick-or-treaters and really cute!  Parents, teachers and scout leaders:  This is a great, inexpensive group project.

Supplies needed:

  • Ball or Mason canning jars or clean, empty mayonnaise jars
  • Black paper
  • Masking tape
  • Craft glue
  • Wire for hanging (optional) May also be set on the sidewalk.

 Instructions:

Trace the patterns.

Transfer the patterns to black paper and cut them out.

Tape the pattern to a jar.

Wrap the jar with torn lengths of tape for the mummy silhouette.

Cute! And looks very eas to make...wish my kids were still pre-teen!
This would also be a great way to recycle old jelly/jam jars, or pickle jars you get from the store.
