34 days until we the american people come under the control of a bunch of Socialist Liberal re- distribute our paychecks liberals. Thirty four days and we can all just get along.
Yes We Can- or else.
I can't wait, either.
Yeah 34 more days and the name will change and maybe the party but it will be the same grinding mess we have been suffering for decades. It'll be tax and spend or borrow and spend...the end result is not going to be pretty. The time left to save this republic without bloodshed is dwindling and neither of these two, especially Obama have either the ability or guts to reverse the trend.
The POINTS DEPOT
Unlike some others, I actually have faith that we will begin a process of change with this election. Will it be a watershed? Doubtful. Will it even be noticeable? Well, that all depends on us. If all we do is whine and then go ahead and reward the same old pandering then there is nothing our elected officials can do to change that. If on the other hand we actually smarten up and learn a few things and hold our elected officials accountable for thinking, then we have a chance.
It's up to us people, and that means all of us, not just the ones who vote for the one who gets elected, have to participate in the management of our representatives. Tell them what we want, but for crying out loud at least learn a little about the issue before simply blurting out some leftist or rightist pablum. It's time for all of us to take responsibility for our role in this representative republic. We must demand a resolution of the issue and movement forward, not a partisan power push.
Anyone that could vote for this criminal bailout is just supporting corporate fascism and cronyism as well as socialist thinking.
But it really does not matter which one gets in it will be the same old lies and excuses. The public should be pretty well conditioned to it by now.
And I'm sorry, but I can't be cynical about our country. Yeah, I'm not happy about a lot of things but that doesn't mean I'm going to throw up my hands. I still think we live in the greatest country in the world and I believe that dedicated and motivated Americans can and will work together to resolve our problems.
I wonder if mccain sees the irony
