Hey everybody. A couple of days ago I posted a picture of some blooms (ahem--which by the way placed in the Fall Zoomit contest.) hee hee
Anyway, I thought they were from my elephant ears. At least that is what we call them here in Missouri. There were several people that called them Canna's. I decided to take full pictures of the plants so that we can figure this mystery out once and for all! LOL!
I am thinking maybe they are the same thing, and I am using my hick language from Missouri to describe them. Or is there another plant called elephant ears and this is not it.
Lets discuss this flower people. I am not a flower person, meaning I don't really know the names of flowers/plants. I justs know when they look pretty. Then I take pictures of them. So here they are in all their glory.

These full shots just aren't as pretty to me as the macro's of the blooms.

I think the blooms are beautiful, but that's just because they are my favorite color.

So there are a few more photos. Maybe we can figure this mystery out. I had some people saying that elephant ears don't bloom. I was thinking, well I think mine are. But maybe there is an entirely different plant called elephant ears that I don't know about. Probably the latter is true.
Discuss. Hope everybody is having a great Wednesday!

Elephant ears are a different plant - although they also have large leaves.
Elephant ears look very different. I have some in my images. But you can go to google images to see some pictures too~
OK. You already know. Those are great shots. There are certain procedures that you have to go through to properly winterize cannas, but I'm not quite sure what they are. You need to Google it.
They are beautiful cannas though, mine never flower
