red meat, junk food, most convenience foods. i tend to get more stuff to cook. the problem is, then i have to make time over the weekend, cuz popping a whole chicken in the oven after 5pm just doesn't work. good thing i'm single and no kids, cuz they'd be looking sideways for a full meal by mid-week LOL!!

I avoid the "impulse" purchases. If it's not on my list or is not something that I SHOULD have had on my list and just forgot, then I don't buy it.

i have a list and i take it and my coupons and off i go to the store.I do not buy a lot of junk food as i cant have it any how.I buy only the foods i likeand know are good for me.

Red meat. I haven't bought it in years. I use a lot of poultry and fish. I grab my snack foods when they are on sale. I also grab juice, cheese, detergent, cat food, litter and paper goods when they are on sale, wether I need them or not. Never know when you'll need them. . .

We ALWAYS have a tight budget lately, and the fruits and veggies are the first to get left behind (of course, I'm the only one in the house that eats them, so they would just be for "me" -- and we often need to focus on acquiring food of plenty for many instead, with our meager budget. : ( I did grow some stuff this year -- and plan on expanding a garden next year! YEY!
