Nature takes over.

On the road beside a tree I found this berry bush. Don't know what it is but it's pretty. Just never noticed it before. Does anyone know what it is?

I'm ashamed to say I neglected my garden area. I pulled up all the plants when they were through but with the fence around it we didn't mow it. I planted Marigolds around for insect control. Now the flowers are so pretty, I don't want to mow until they are done.

While I was looking around I noticed a tomato plant that I must have missed. It has 2 green tomatoes. To bad they won't have time to ripen.

Nice pictures
put your tomatoes in a brown paper bag and they will ripen fine.

I don't know what that one is....maybe your tomatoes would ripen on the windowsill- otherwise you could fry up some green tomatoes!

I've been picking the green tomatoes and putting them on the window sill, as Melinda said, and they have been turning red just fine. I know that I planted too late because I have too many that are ready now and the first frost is likely to be in the next couple of days. I wish those homegrown red tomatoes could last all year. I'll be so sad to go back to buying them at the grocery store.
