Today's location has been dubbed the city of a certain type of flower. I need to find out if it's the real deal so I'll immediately be visiting a famous garden there that grows this type of flower. The garden is the oldest of its kind in the country.
Before dinner tonight, I'll be visiting a second garden. Most of the plants there are native to an Asian country, yet they were grown in the U.S. (There's a ban on plants being imported from this country.) Since I'm such a fan of tea, I'm especially looking forward to visiting a structure there that includes a teahouse.
What is the name of the first garden I'm going to, and what is the name of the structure at the second garden?
(There are actually two answers that can be given for part II of the question, though I'll only be visiting one of the locations. Still, I'll accept either answer.)
About the Travel Guru: I invite you to join me on an adventure as I make my way around the country. If you can guess where I am, you could win up to 125 Gather Points and the chance to receive a $100 AMEX gift card towards your own travels.
Here's how it works: Throughout the week, I'll create five posts that give you clues as to where I am. I travel fairly quickly, so be sure to connect to me to keep up! For each post, I'll choose one Gather member who correctly guesses where I am that day to receive 100 Gather Points. The first person to guess the correct answer will automatically receive 25 Gather Points and will also be eligible for the 100 Gather Points. Throughout my travels, everyone who submits a correct answer will be placed into a drawing to receive $100 AMEX gift card at the end of my trip.
Guesses for this day are closed.

Rose Garden
Japanese Tea House
Then you will visit the Japanese Garden.
The name of the Tea House is Kashin Tei, which means Flower Heart House (or at least that's what the website said).
The pathway to our ceremonial Tea House, called Kashin Tei or Flower Heart House, is lined by two little gardens.
So you are in Portland, Oregon visiting the International Rose Test Garden. Then you are going to the Japanese Garden where you will visit the ceremonial Tea house called Kashin Tei.
I think he decided to be easy on us. I have been to both places.
(where the 1st Rose Festival was held in 1907) --
and (IMO) the 2nd garden you're visiting:
The Teahouse (operated by the Tea of Tao) at The Portland Classical Chinese Garden
I got to visit both of these on a rainy afternoon when a meeting I was attending let out early, a few years ago.
Then you be at the Japanese Garden where you will visit the ceremonial Tea house called Kashin Tei.
The winner of the 25 Gather Points is Leah A.
The person drawn for 100 Gather Points is ??Dnbuster?? ?.
