Update on Thumbelina

Thumby had her 3rd vet visit in 3 weeks to check her thyroid levels, (another $148.00). She is still off the chart and the machine only measures up to '7', but we think the meds are working. Her appetite has somewhat slowed down, and she gained 1/2 pound! So the upped her meds and she has to be rechecked in 2 months. Some people may think speding so much on a 'animal' is stupid, but I am an animal lover, AND she's all I have left of my Dad.

I hope and pray she continues to improve! I'm so glad the meds are working. She must being doing good that they don't want to see her for two months.

It is not stupid to spend so much on a pet! If one of my cats was sick, I'd spend anything. I'd rather starve if I couldn't afford both the vet and food.

My Tom Tom (AKA Tommy) goes to the Vet alot too, skin disorder, allergy to almost everything....but I am an animal lover too....I love him to much to see him in pain...thanks for sharing...

As far as I'm concerned, we would spend whatever it took if something should happen to one of our dogs.

I'm glad she is doing better. I don't think you are spending to much. I am taking my cat to the vet tomorrow. I'm scared the news is not going to be good. Good luck with all of your cats!
