I was interested to find out what the rest of the world thought about our current Pres and VP candidates so I searched and came up with these. I tried to balance out the good and the bad.
Here's what I came up with:
Does McCain think women are "stupid"? We all know this is a token female. Lack of experience - Obama has more than she does.
Barbie Meets the Greats
His selection of running mate - a low-intelligence, high-hormone cheerleader with delusional beliefs - shows how much he really cares about anything beyond himself.
McCain is actually a rather pathetic figure. And even Americans are not going to vote for a pathetic figure with the disasters Bush leaves them.
Intelligence does count in leadership.
Maybe Sarah Palin can get the Almighty to intervene and save the Americans, now that she's renounced witchcraft - which in itself might be a rash move in these uncertain times.
There are only so many times you can preface your solution to a crisis with "I'm an old navy man," "Some of you may know I've been in a few tricky situations before" etc etc.
If the good people of the US vote in Grampa Simpson, they need their collective heads examined.
McCain is more savvy than most of you are giving him credit for. By 'suspending his campaign' and for a week he has insured that his campaign's advertising dollars will be able to keep up with Obama. And while he may not be overtly campaigning, he's not exactly spending the week behind closed doors either.
Today, the moose-huntin' mom is the most talked-about woman in the world.
Do any of the Americans have any actual comments on Palins policies or on the actual Presidential candidate? Does the US actually debate policy instead of liking candidates because they're 'hocky moms?' And don't compare her to Thatcher. I didn't like her but Thatcher had a brain.
Inspired choice wow! She's quite a character! American news media will short-circuit over this, which of course means he just did something incredibly right. McCain hit a home run. Game over I would say.
A conservative american who eats moose burgers, ice fishes, hunts, lives in Alaska and is seen here firing a rifle....is this the election of 2008 or 1808? I thought the pioneer era was over..come on America. Wake up! It's time for you to change your heavily damaged image to the rest of the world!
Palin, I suppose she's the VP that Middle America deserves: a gun-toting Christian zealot. God help the US if the Republicans win again
Gun toting, evangelical, anti-abortionist is the new star in America? ... sounds familiar. If MCCain/Palin wins then it will only confirm to the rest of the western world that America is going down an unelightened path. We will be friendly with the US but not respect them like we used to.
I'm also glad she will save US taxpayers some money by not asking for the same amount that Cheney did as VP. After all, as a traditional and conservative woman, she should be used to being paid less than a man for the same job.
The McCain campaign should promote her as "America's Oil Chic".
She does not have enough experience and she wants to make condoms illegal, she does not consider HIV .
"Can anyone with an IQ above freezing imagine General Patton or Eisenhower taking orders from a 44 year old beauty queen?
McCain choosing Palin = Republicans clinging to guns and religion.
Some are comparing Sarah Palin to Margaret Thatcher. I was in the UK late seventies and early eighties and "You governor are no Margaret Thatcher"
Palin is a great personality and probably a great leader. I don't think you can honestly say she is ready to be president though.
I tried to find more positive statements but couldn't.

Palin Is Ready? Please.
McCain says that he always puts country first. In this important case, that is simply not true.

NEWSWEEK
From the magazine issue dated Oct 6, 2008
Will someone please put Sarah Palin out of her agony? Is it too much to ask that she come to realize that she wants, in that wonderful phrase in American politics, "to spend more time with her family"? Having stayed in purdah for weeks, she finally agreed to a third interview. CBS's Katie Couric questioned her in her trademark sympathetic style. It didn't help. When asked how living in the state closest to Russia gave her foreign-policy experience, Palin responded thus:
"It's very important when you consider even national-security issues with Russia as Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America. Where—where do they go? It's Alaska. It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there. They are right next to—to our state."
There is, of course, the sheer absurdity of the premise. Two weeks ago I flew to Tokyo, crossing over the North Pole. Does that make me an expert on Santa Claus? (Thanks, Jon Stewart.) But even beyond that, read the rest of her response.

I did hear someone on Air America this morning say that should McCain/Palin get elected, then that says more about Americans in general than it does about the GOP or the ticket themselves.
This election is a Rorshak (I think that's how you spell that) test for America.
Of course the Republicans try to play that off as "terrorists" support Obama, like everyone else in the world is a terrorist.
How many world leaders would get this kind of reception in the US?
I liked Brian's comment, also.
The answer would be, "No".
"I M intrested in going 2 ur skool. Plz send info. Thx."
And I'm not joking.
Brian T, that's okay...those were all republican votes anyway. (((smiles)))
And it's not that we don't like the well schooled. You have that all wrong. We don't like the "well heeled." And we are not proud of our ignorance! Dammit, haven't you heard of no child left behind? (Intentional lower case.)
I am so hoping and wishing and working to create our own New World Order. I want to get back to the constitution, to real judiciary, and to financial growth.
Luu-u-u-ucy, We got a lot a 'splaining (cleaning up) to do.
Hockey: A sport where adult males strap on skates to fly on slick ice, with long sticks, baggy shorts, no teeth and one puck to bicker over.
Manly sports are so sexy!
L0L--and din't yo mama tell you not to be runnin' with no sticks?

(I just don't want to be painted as a hockey mom. (((shudders)))
The Democrats with their policies have brought this country to the point of ruin. Elect Obama and the crisis continues. Elect McCain and we have a chance to work our way out.

Your not caring, Mary Ann, puts all of us at risk.
If you do you are a moron.
And there you go, the perfect illustration of Wilma's point. And Brian's point:
Your right don't need no furriners here telling us on how to do biz nus! I think America is one of the few countries I've been in where people are proud to be ignorant and look at the well schooled with suspicion.
They don't agree with us, therefore they're socialists, communists, etc. Or even terrorists!
It's sad to see that the nation that sent people to the moon has sunk to this low intellectual level.
So, enjoy your pats on the back.
Are high school drop out rates high in the school year of 2007-2008?
Yes. Sadly, dropout rates are getting higher and higher every year. Every nine seconds in America, a student becomes a dropout. In 2004 alone, six million 18-24 year olds had not completed high school (Mentor Research Institute, 2006). And that number is just growing.
The above statistic used to be a shame now it's accepted. What's really sad is that there are those out there that think that a foreign head of state may be interested in hunting moose and field dressing it instead of buying meat from the local Safeway.
America under this administration is out of step with the rest of the developed world in many ways. Our health care system rates down there with third world countries when compared with how many people don't have any and how many people go bankrupt trying to pay medical bills. An administration under McCain would follow Bush's ideas about the most important issues.
Most other developed countries are not afraid of spending money caring for their needy people. A lot of Republicans brush them away saying 'let them work for a living like I do'. It doesn't matter how disabled they are. "I got mine. You can take care of yourself". And these same people usually call themselves Christians.
Most other countries have health systems that don't allow one single person to go without health care, and not one person goes bankrupt paying for that care.
Europeans already think we are hopelessly stupid for electing Bush for a second term. They would write us off as morons who deserve what we get if we elect another Republican who follows Bush's theories.
I think it is important to know which policies brought us to this point so we don't repeat the mistakes. I also think we should assign blame and collect damages where appropriate. Nobody should get away with robbing this country.
On the other hand, I can't figure that there are alot of countries that would generate any really positive comments about McCain. Mexico? Canada? China? India? I got it- ask somebody in Georgia- hey will say good things about McCain!!
I think the educated people in the rest of the world think we must be morons to choose an old man with limited education who brags about making decisions like a fighter pilot - impulsively by gut feelings. No way do I want someone like that in charge of red telephones and nuclear missille buttons, especiaslly a man over seventy years old. He shows signs of his mental processes wearing out. He doesn't seem to grasp new realities, and constantly points to the past.

I just wanted to make sure folks read this post again, Miz Ruth. Salud
To see things from others point of view is knowledge, wisdom and possibly absence of war.
LONDON - Most people across the world would prefer Democrat Barack Obama to win the US presidential election over his Republican rival John McCain, a new poll spanning 22 countries showed Tuesday.
The BBC World Service survey found the most common view in all nations polled was that Obama -- who staged a euphoric European tour two months ago that included a speech to 200,000 fans in Berlin -- should win in November.
An average of 46 percent of all those questioned thought US relations with the rest of the world would improve if Obama took office, compared to just 20 percent for McCain, the survey of 22,500 people found.
Global approval ratings for the United States are currently low -- a BBC World Service poll earlier this year found 49 percent of people surveyed had a negative view of US influence, compared to 32 who viewed it positively.
Those most optimistic about an Obama presidency's impact on US external relations were people in America's NATO allies -- Canada, France, Germany, Britain and Italy -- as well as Australia, Nigeria and Kenya, where Obama has family.
N.K. said I did hear someone on Air America this morning say that should McCain/Palin get elected, then that says more about Americans in general than it does about the GOP or the ticket themselves.
American's tend to have short-termed memories. Or maybe selective memories. Either one is dangerous in this election. All we need is something else to grab our attention and we put everything else out of our minds. So hopefully, the ones that say "I'll never forget" (referring to 9-11) will also remember everything that has happened since that day.
It looks as though you may be Pagan or into Witchcraft by the looks of your avatar. It surprises me that you would even consider a person like Palin as your VP. Have you not read what she and her religion thinks about your beliefs and religion? Better do your homework girl.
As far as not caring what the rest of the world thinks; How old are you? Never mind, that's none of my business but you can't seriously believe that it's not important what the rest of the world thinks of our leaders?!?!? Seriously!!!!
People are fleeing third world countries in droves to get into any developed country. I would too.
I especially liked the one, "Does McCain think women are "stupid"? We all know this is a token female. Lack of experience - Obama has more than she does."
Comparing the VP to Obama again. Compare Vps to VPs and Palin looses in experience. Compare the GOP VP to obama and Obama Actually looses.
His campaign speeches, ads, and responses to reporters' questions show that he thinks most people are stupid and gullible.
Seaweed, people who understand and care that this country has a big influence on what happens in the rest of the world, or that it is in our best interest to not be hated by the rest of the world give a rat's ass (notice the apostrophe to show that the rat owns the ass). You also missed one in nation's. Most of us make typos, but I think it's always a good idea to correct them when trying to prove you are smarter than someone else.
Sigh.......
Think it was Gen. Patton........
We only need remember the millions of people all over the world who stood up in 2003 to protest bushes war to know what folks think of us. The fact that McCain is bush on steroids will tell us how exponentially the worlds disrespect for America can only increase.
Now flash forward to the hundreds of thousands of people cheering for Obama in Berlin and your question should be answered quite clearly.
America is not hated by some because of its Presidents-[plural intended]. You need to get out of the country more and see how the other half lives and thinks. And thanks for the grammar lesson. I'll let you correct your own errors.
"Stray Cow" doesn't come into the definition of maverick at all. It refers to an unbranded or orphaned cow. Two totally different things. The appropriate definition when relating to McCain however is the third definition given in American Heritage Dictionary which is an independently minded person. Thought I'd give you a heads up before Sandy K the grammar guru of the post chastises you for not being as smart as she perceives herself to be.
