These photos were taken last week in my living room. I stayed home from work one day really sick with that awful sinus infection that has been going around. Anyway, all I wanted to do was lay in the recliner. I told my kids that Mommy was really sick and had to rest. I told them to just get out all the toys and play on the floor in the living room. 

They had no problem with that one. They love dragging everything known to man out into that living room.

                     They were making garages for the cars out of blocks!

                     

My son is always tinkering around with this barn. I need to get him a doctors kit and steer him in a different direction. ha ha ha

   

                                Even girls LOVE their cars too.

 

I was thinking maybe they might need some more toys. My husband will just have to get me a larger house. Whatta ya think?

Ummm...I noticed a couple things are missing. Get out the toy catalog and make note of that for Christmas. More, mommy...we want more!

What no dolls are Barbies for the girl? My daughter got in to the little mini size barbies before anything else..she is only 8.
I think you should let your son go in his naturally intended farmer direction. With the price of food these days, by the time he's an adult, farmers will rule the world.

that looks exactly like what my 11yr old and my 6yr old does with their blocks, vehicles and miniatures. this is all they have together? then youre doing great! the amount of toys i see here is nothing compared to what my son had when he was your son's age. he probably had a large toy for every block on the floor. some said it was too much but we didnt worry since he had twice that in books and loved to read.

Your kids are adorable! And obviously very creative. It looks to me as if they're very busy playing with all their toys so I'd say that don't have too many -- just the right number to keep them occupied.

Minipin Pixels----oh, yeah, Maddie has a bunch of barbies and tons of toys in their rooms too. This is just a small bit of the toys they have. I was just being funny with the title.

I didn't see the big motorized cars that the kids ride around in, so they are alright. I like to see that they are using their imagination while they are playing instead of some of the stupid violent video games and stuff that kids have these days.

Marianne K----yeah, Maddie is into barbie's a little, but more into the new crazy "Littlest Petshops."

I seriously think that if I took every single toy they both had from their rooms and the garage, the living room would not hold them all from floor to ceiling.

I think it's probably time to have another yard sale, before Christmas comes and they get some more toys!!

lmao all just pcak up some of there toys they play with now an put in the basement or garage , in about a month take them back out and they will think they were bought some new ones.. I wish I was a kid and all I had to do was to sit around and play with my toys

Cute pictures! We've been going through our 2.5 year old's toys the last few weeks and packing some up to save for any future kids, and making another pile of things we will probably get rid of. The sad thing is that we are the ones who buy almost all of his toys, since our family all lives in Missouri, and we are in North Dakota. My parents give him stuff when we are there visiting, but they usually only send him money, movies, books and clothes.

I dont think they have too many.. a few years back we lived in a good sized house with a finished room in the basement which was the toy room..it had a lot of toys in it..drove daddy nuts!! but then we moved to a smaller house and then to this mobile home..so we down sized probably half :( daddy doesnt like toys anywhere but their rooms :(
