The first one I got is the Panasonic dmc-tz4 Lumix I already have the tz1 I hope to collect them all :) Yes I have an addiction. This is a small camera that packs some of the best mega zoom in its size range it has 10Xoptical at 8mp or 12.8 at 5 mp and one option takes it all the way up to 15.8!! But my favorite gift of all is the Panasonic dmc-fz18. I have wanted this camera for a very long time. Now if I can just figure out how to use it LOL, it has more buttons than any camera should have and now i can start playing with filters as soon as i buy me some. But the best feature of all is the 18X optical zoom. I'll be able to count the feathers on the birds now. Oh happy happy!! It took me two days just to get up the nerve to take it out side for some shots. I had the choice on this one of either a nikon 40D that was not a hard decision for me to make it always has to be a panasonic for me.
Oh and both of these camera have intellegent settings, one setting you just point the camera and it will pick the setting even the scene selection and it will also decided if the shot is to be be shot in macro or not. So basically they are hand held computers and the 18 will also shoot raw images YA!
want to know more about the Panasnic FZ18 check out this site. See turning 40 is not two bad when you get shiny stuff. I turned 40 in august but didnt allow any celebration LOL it was my time to Morn LOL. If I knew I was going to get these I would have skipped the morning LOL If Im going to keep getting shiny stuff bring on 50 Im ready for it.

I have a Nikon and love it, but unfortunately, so do my kids. My son has taken over my Nikon 8008 film camera....
