Somewhere in Taipei, there is a park called the "New Park". It is not really new. It has been there for a long time, and it was one of my favorite places to go when I was a kid. There were two large metal ox statues at the front gate, and I loved riding them.
My mom took Kyleigh to the New Park one day in early September. Kyleigh is always very excited when she has a chance to go out. And she has to wear her favorite Elmo hat.

When Kyleigh met the ox for the first time, she was checking it out curiously.
My mom let Kyleigh ride the ox, just like I did when I was a kid. At first Kyleigh was a bit nervous.

Then she got a little more comfortable and grabbed the ox horns herself. If you look at the horns, you will notice the tips are much more yellow and newer. I guess the original horns had worn out, so the city put new tips on.
Not only that, Kyleigh started to get adventurous. When she sat on this ox, she would point at the other. After my mom held her up to the other ox, she would then point back at the original ox. After my mom held her up back to the original ox, she would then point at the other one again. They went back and forth like that for many, many times.
A picture on the ox with Grandma.
Time flies! It was me riding on the ox 20-some, 30 years ago.
