Say your car is in bad shape and needs serious repairing.You look up mechanics in the phone book,decide on a couple and give them a call.You want to find out how good they are and how much it will cost you.
The first mechanic says,I have never fixed a car,but I have read all the books and manuals about car repair and I have talked to other mechanics all over about how to fix cars,so I know I could do it and give you a reasonable price.
The 2nd mechanic tells you,I have repaired cars all my life.Done everything from replacing a motor to fixing a muffler. I know I can fix whatever problem you have and at a reasonable price.
Which mechanic would you choose?

If I had an old car, I'd pick the old mechanic. Or if it was something simple like a flat tire.
But you know, to fix a modern car, you have to know something about computers, because all the systems are run by computers in the car.
You are betting on a horse in a race.
You have one that have one that has been in 26 races. Injured 4 times. Cant remember all the time which way to go. Is a little confused at times.
You have one that is fresh and new. Been in 2 races. Never injured. Great health. Just starting out. Knows which way to go and takes it doesnt keep switching.
Now you stand to either lose 770 billion or gain it.
Which one do you choose?
It is a lot simpler than some of you try to make it.The mechanic either has the experience or he doesnt.Mechanic #1 doesnt.
So your answer would be to have Bill Clinton or George Bush fix your car.

The problem with McCain is that he has spent a lot of time in congress and the senate but aside from the campaign finance reform bill which resulted from his Keating 5 community service, he's done virtually nothing but run for president. The other problem with McCain is that he's the sort of mechanic who is more interested in padding the bill than fixing the car.
If you have a late model car with all the bells and whistles, he's not going to be able to fix it. I'd put mechanic number 1 on that ride.
And I can guarantee you, if someone made a mess of my car I would not go back to him for more work!!
