Autumn Color - Work in Progress - Photoessay

Rather than post these separately, I thought I'd do a photoessay.  This is today's episode in the continuing progress of autumn color in northern Michigan. 

I took these photos late this afternoon.  It's amazing how quickly the color is spreading! 

 The boat launch area is one of my favorite spots to photograph:

Soon, the leaves on these trees will all be flaming shades of autumn.

 No swimmers....just natural beauty.

 

Color has come the west shore, too.

We're on the north shore.. color is moving gradually around...

setting fire to the tree tops...and spreading. 

I'll post updates on this work in progress.  Enjoy the beauty of autumn!
