Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped pecans
½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup melted margarine or butter
6 pats of butter ( not melted)
6 apples, peeled and sliced
1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Juice from one lemon
Packaged pre-made pie crusts
Instructions:
Combine pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter and spread evenly over bottom of pie pan. Place one pie crust over the pecan mixture.
In a large bowl, combine apples with sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
Pour apple mixture onto pie crust already in pan and drop 6 pats of butter on top of apples. Cover with second crust and flute edges. Cut slits in the top crust and bake in pre-heated oven at 375 for 40-50 minutes.
When pie is done, take out of oven and let stand for one minute. Place a large plate over pie and flip over (invert) onto plate.
