Why Won't McCain Support Our Vets?

I don't think that this is McCains fault.
Our military is screwed and underpaid for the job that they do.
and you know what??
CIVILIANS do not treat our military with much respect either. They only say they do when there is casualty or some heroic thing done.

My son is in the military and he got screwed now by two car dealerships, department stores and others. People say they care about our military but they don't really.

I am proud of my son and what he does for our country.

Voting against the GI bill is not showing support for anything but Bush fascism. I have been a vet for more than thirty years and have been screwed each year by the criminals in Washington that call themselves patriotic as well as the phony flag wavers that sit back and never do anything but cheer on the death of someone else children that get stuck fighting the blood for oil wars.

McCain is nothing but a Bush clone.

It isn't going to be much better with either candidate in office.

You said it yourself Jack that you have been a vet for more than 30 years and screwed every year. Well, you also lived through 8 of those years with Clinton in office.
See, it is a political thing and it really don't matter which gets in office....seriously....
they are ALL bad.

It is too bad that our founding fathers cant make an apperarnce back in the white house again and put them all to shame.

Our country was NOT founded with this much corrupt and non-morals.

Our vets deserve better than what they get. I know a gentleman who served his country proudly in the army for 15 years. He lost all of his VA benefits when he filled out his MEANS form 1 day too late. Why is this acceptable?

Its not acceptable Lisa it just that the American public is so infatuated with being individual that they forget who makes it possible for them to be this irresponsible with the military troops that allow us to be so ungrateful. Their is a lot more to supporting troops than running out and buying Chinese made Americans and waving them in phony support that they would never give if they had to be on the firing line.

Don McCain refutes everything he does and says. He doesn't see to have the brain capacity to think before opening mouth.

McCain did not vote for the bill but he was against it because he said ''it would encourage soldiers to leave the military'' that was his reason.\
Then he changed is tune, and it was for the spouse clause....any excuse to fool the vets.
He ha constantly voted against veterans.

He is a little know fact...Obama and another senator, when he was in the state senate worked with the VA to make them review claims of the vietnam veterans that had been ignored. Eventually they did for thousands of them.
All those people know and support him for good reasons, he earned it by working for them.

If voters looked for good things he has done, Obama there is, they will find much.
He does not blow his trumpet, good thing, but he should in this cases.
The study of the 2 candidates is startling in accomplishments and leadership.

Didn't McCain leave the military or is he still a member of the armed forces and if he is why isn't he in Iraq fighting for the blood for oil war he wants to last for 100 years? McCain left the military but would not vote on the VA bill because he was afraid the troops would do the same thing he did, its amazing how the mind of a hypocritical neocon works.

people need to look at both candidates to see what their agenda is, the only problem is McCain has no agenda except more of Bush failed policies that support nothing but cronyism and socialism.

Just look how Bush wants to handle the failed republican cons, he wants to create a dictator to keep giving our money to failed business with no oversight to this CEO that is for nothing but kissing ass with every CEO friend he has made and McCain is all for it. This is what McCain harps on when he says he wants to change Washington.

uh...Jack, McCain got so injured in Vietnam that I believe he didn't turn and run away from the military.
Just sayin....The man cannot lift his arms above his shoulders because of damage that was done to him when he was a prisoner of war. He was beat to a pulp.

Not saying anything good or bad about anyone here...just sayin....he didn't run away and quit from the military. I believe that he probably was discharged for medical reasons.

McCain used the excuse that people would leave the military if the GI bill was passed so what does that say for him.

McCain caused a lot of trouble in the military that other navy fliers would have been thrown out for and he is far from being a hero.

McCain is just a typical neocon with no agenda except more Bush and his cronyism.
