Oh Happy Day! Thank You Gather!!

About 10 minutes ago, a nice shiny FedEx truck pulled up out front, knocked on the door once, and before I got there, left again. This is actually a trend with them. I've never had a package at this new house that I signed for, or even caught the guy for.

Yay! Oh Happy Day! Inside was my nice shiny blue Kodak Easyshare M893 IS camera, a camera case, and a 2 GB SD card for the camera! I won this prize for the Summerpics promo contest!

Yay! I have to get a special battery for it- the one it came with was charged enough to take 2 pictures, and it doesn't take the AA's that my other camera has (shame, too, since I have about 20 rechargables for it).

Oh, awesome- the battery it came with is rechargeable, and can be charged using the AC adapter that came with it, so I don't even need to buy anything for it! It can also be used on the AC adapter without a battery (if I wanna be plugged into the wall).

I'm so excited by this!

if they don't need a signature they will just leave, the knock is to inform you a package is there, not because they want to talk to you. Time is money and Fedex (and UPS, etc) have to get all their packages out.

I know John :) Sometimes, though, I would almost prefer they wait to make sure someone is home, too, ya know?

I did take a few pictures, but the focus is a bit more wobbly than my other camera, so I need to play with the settings once it's charged. It's charging right now, and it says it takes up to 3 hours. I'm thinking what I'll do is take a walk this evening and take some pictures with it to post!
