My Husband Did the Sweetest Thing the Other Day

We live very near the church we attend, so we always walk to church.  Usually in the mornings the grass is pretty wet, and in my high heels, I seem to get grass ALL over my shoes.  Normally, I'll just stand somewhere and wipe most of it off, but my husband did something that I thought was so sweet the other day.  He sat me down and cleaned off my shoes for me.  It doesn't seem like much, but I figure anywhere who will go to that length for me must love me a great deal.  I really felt like he did something special, and I felt very loved.

It's never the "grandious gestures" that stick in our memories... It's all of those little things... Those little, tiny, sweet gestures that we remember... I love the way my husband always goes out and checks the water and oil in my car before I start out on an errand that's going to take me more than just a few miles... Things like that are what mean the most in relationships... :o)

This is very touching, Sarah. I understand your feeling of appreciation for this thoughtfulness. When I was pregnant, my husband used to put my boots on my feet for me while I sat in a chair. It's a little thing, but it hugs your heart, doesn't it?
