I'm having a difficult time right now with life. I won't go into my problems as life sometimes deals us all a tough time, but when you get hit with problems, how do you cheer yourself up.
I want to be happy, and my husband is wonderful and deserves a happy partner. He is just as happy as he can be, but right now, I'm feeling like a cartoon character with a dark cloud following me.
Any help?

Things in the past that made me smile, a child born, a birthday, when my little girls walked for the first time things like that always make me feel better knowing and seeing wonderful things in life.
I have great listening capabilities. Please feel free to bend my ear any time you wish.
I understand what you mean, by that dark cloud following behind. I've known that shadow all my life.
Keep writing, keep reaching out, and most of all remember you have friends to support you.
I think it helps to get a friend's opinion.
Personally, I listen to beautiful classic music remind myself how fortunate I am to be in this country with plenty of opportunities.
Most of all I remind myself there are people around the world in real trouble and I have not reason to complain...only to be thankful.
Focus on the negs, and they become your world.
Focus, instead, on what is right and what is good.
Give thanks, minute by minute, for what you have.
Let go of "should" It is a false prophet.
Live in the now.
Well, that and 3 pots of coffee have sustained me for 51 years. And you don't mess with what works.
Blessings (and peace) on you.

Happiness is something you receive in the act of giving...the energy will flow and returns.
Have you ever tried to smile at strangers?
Some act fine, some surprised and some smile back glad to be acknowledged.
I find the source of happiness is the well within yourself when you forget yourself and open your heart to the world...at times it hurts but it is the '' pain of too much tenderness'' as Kahlil Gibran said.
Learn to love your pain and it will love you back....they come from the same well spring.
Other than that . . .
watching a movie chills me out if im really mad about something..
What helps me is enjoying nature. Finding joy in the simple things in life like a flower or the ocean always makes me feel better. Realizing that they aren't so simple, but amazing creations of nature, makes my problems seem manageable somehow.
I have heard that kick boxing can help too! LOL.
When all else fails, I go try to catch the lizards. I caught one today, finally! Then of course I had to bring it inside to get the camera and spent the next 20 minutes or so chasing it around my kitchen.
Smile:)
But to overcome obstacles, one must start with the Lord.
