I've picked place and spot for conscious conversation
On this common day where sun and clouds engage
Senses tasting epilogues in dusty particles
Enriching a sky half-full of emptiness slayed
As wonderlust recites knowledge: A pale page
Why this moment, what is my place?
All I could be, mostly given, like spindled dreams
Magic dragon of history, lights etching deep
As each epistle, landscaped hopes, surreal towers
Fancy dressed up dreams, strewn with wilted flowers
All these rooms shared with someone, longings cease
On the meditated island's gentle song of temporary breeze
Have I measured up to average on the Sociologist's chart
Has a church counted my sins with knowledge of my heart
Would a protagonist call me normal, if I volunteered a plan
To forgot the ‘I' existed while extending promised hands
As my heart sees life marching in a parade of paradox
With popcorn number equations until I'm resting in a box
Seasons come and go in team colors, like stages in my life
Appraising wrong and right, in a diary my steps define
Among the crossroads and cracks, concrete partially patched
Leaving one four leaf clover for a blue sky with dawn recast
In an atmosphere of networks of love and opposite views
Asking could I be, on this eroding island, silently amused
While grasping at sands with open hand in labyrinth of truth

It sounds like the individual has come to the conclusion that his or her life was basically a good one. Efforts were made to be unselfish, loving and truthful event though at times it felt like life was played on an unlevel playing field of sand.
Very thought prevoking.
Thank you
But I must confess I first read the word as Scientologist, not Sociologist, and for a moment I was a bit startled. :-)

It sounds to me also like looking back at your lifetime and seeing what you have accomplished, how your acts will be judged at the end of your life.

I love thinking out the philosophy of life in different moods and from different views. That's why I love teen agers and kids ... they're still seeking truth and think crazy stuff sounds pretty good :)
Very good poem William. Evidently hit everyone because we all meditate on our lives.
