Quick & Easy - Cake In A Mug - Microwave Method

This is so easy, you will wonder why you have not been doing it sooner. These make great gifts for college kids, elderly neighbors or just for a nice late night snack. Kids love these because they can make their own cake. You can use different kinds of cake mixes and puddings. Make sure you add the directions on the zip loc bag or if you are giving them as a gift, put directions on a tag.

 

1 regular size chocolate cake mix1 small instant chocolate pudding
1 egg1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp water


Mix chocolate cake mix and instant chocolate pudding together in zip bag.

 

When ready to use, mix and bake in large coffee mug : 1/2 cup of the mix, the egg, oil and water. When ready to make your own cake; mix and bake in large coffee mug  bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minutes and 10 seconds. Eat right out of the cup or turn cup over onto plate and top with your favorite topping.

Gives new meaning to "if I knew you were comin I'd a baked a cake" I still prefer the oven method, but I've started to microwave my mixing bowl in order to bake the batter that doesn't want to come off the side of the bowl. It makes clean up a little easier.

I was helping in a school as a substitute temp teacher and one of the students brought me this as a gift once.... Her mom had put the mix in a very nice clear glass mug with a small pedestal....it looked quite nice when baked.
