Visiting the Sea Shore with Avery.

A new experience for Avery, well a new one for me and Shawna as well. We had never been to South Carolina before. Folly beach was beautiful and so was my niece's wedding.

I have a lot more photos to share, I took over 600 photos, we had a wonderful time, all jam packed into three days.

The stretch of South Carolina's beaches they call "The Grand Strand" was an exciting playground for me during my teen-age years---my family spent many a summer vacation there, driving down from Charleston, West Virginia. Great pictures.

Great shots, Nanina! Avery sure is growing fast.

Our beaches up here are much like that; I'll be willing to bet there were Beach Roses in the dunes. The only difference would be that we're probably 15º to 20º cooler up here. Now you can see why I'm so in love with where I live.

You all look so beautiful Nanina. He has really grown. I noticed with all the hugeness of the ocean, he looks to the tiny treasures. They are great pictures, and he knows what is important to his little self. Amazing how they learn.

I am so glad it was a great trip and wedding -- how wonderful you could all go together! Avery is just in paradise, isn't he? So much to explore and chew on ~ LOL! He is so adorable!

Mary Louise, There is nothing more cherished than having a child, or so I thought until my daughter had Avery, now I know I'm twice as blessed being a grandma. My daughter is having another in March, so that is exciting too.

I remember when he was first born. This is so sweet, Nanina, getting to see him grow. The beach looks perfect for him, all kinds of treasures to see and feel and touch. Glad you were able to go and Avery too. Love the fence in the photos.
