This year as a part of giving for Christmas, I would like my family me and my daughter to pay part of the adoption fee for an animal at a shelter. My mom doesn't want pets here and I can respect that. (It is her house) If it was mine the house would be filled with pets. This year I want to sponsor a pet to help him or her find a loving home. I want to do something for someone else this holiday season and reach out to those in need. If I can help just one pet not die in a shelter, and not have a lonely death I will be happy. I want to involve my daughter in this process too. How can I get her involved ? Any ideas ? I am also going to buy a bag of cat food and dog food to give to the shelter too.

Good luck and it's awesome that you're showing your daughter to help others(and animals)!
As far as your daughter, help her come up with ideas to raise money to help. You might find she has some good ideas.
All shelters have needs so call them and see what it is that they need. They can always use money and pet food. You can also volunteer time for animal care at the shelter. If you love animals and are not allowed to have them in your home this would be a great way to spend time with them. Good luck with you plan.

If the shelter you are going to donate to has a website, I would check it out and see if they have any fundraisers coming up. Ours has a few each year. Last year we had pictures taken there with our pets.
They have a link their on the top of their page that says. "Help Pets".
I am certain this will be a help for you in your quest!
