One of the first things I was taught in high school english, is that you never use words like " I've " in poetry. You're always supposed to spell both words out completely ie: I have. It would drive my English teacher crazy, but I told her as I tell everyone else. I do not write for grades, and I do not follow structures unless it fits how I want the piece to feel. And I prefer this as it is written. My inspiration was the anime "Naruto" and the relationship between Naruto and Hinata.
I'm never alone
You're always with me
I know when I cry out
You'll always hear me
I'm never alone
You stand beside me
I'll find my way home
With your love to guide me
