Katie, After working in the tattoo industry for nearly 14 years I saw many people come in for matching tattoos. Best friends, couples..a vast majority of them came in months and years down the road and got them covered because they had split up, didnt agree on a variety of subjects and many other things. I suggest not getting the matching tattoos. While relationships (friend and other) can last a lifetime, there is always a chance they wont and then you are left with a constant reminder even if it is covered up or taken off you still know they were once there. Good luck with whatever choice you make.

Nothing, because I would be afraid of getting hepatitis c. Too big of a health risk to chance it.

Don't get one. My son has so many and all of them are cartoon characters...they look stupid and he is stuck with them for life. Batman is not all of that and a bag of chips.

Beth G. Your risk of getting Hep C is greater going to the Dentist than going to get a tattoo. 20 years and more ago Tattoo artists didnt have the health regulations they have now. Now the local health dept. in most states regulate the shops and do regular inspections including reading spore tests done on Autoclaves which is what is used to sterilize tattoo needles and tubes before use. In addition artists worth their salt use needles only once discarding them in biohazard containers.

That is definitely something the both of you will have to choose. I like the idea of a lock and a key. But I am a chicken I hate needles and hubby would have a fit if I got inked lol

It is definitely your decision and if you want to do it I would look around on the internet etc and get some ideas.

my family all had the chinese symbol for family tattooed on us my sister,brother and my mother and myself all have the same tattoo just in different places you can get any chinese symbol and it can be relevant in your life forever because even if you have a fall out people don't always know what it means

If it is for a relationship, I would not recommend. Everyone that I know that had matching tattoos or their significant others name tattood on them broke up.

My sister in law and her mom got a "charm bracelet" around their ankles, and they can keep adding to them! I think it is a great idea! You can get matching charms and then some of your own.

Do you always get confuse when come to the time to choose the most suitable tattoo designs for yourself. There are several most confusing questions you always ask yourself. Such as:

1) What types of tattoo designs matched the most with my image?
2) What will my friends and peers think of this tattoo?
3) Will it jeopardize my career image?
4) Will this tattoo get out-dated soon?

Getting wrong tattoos can be extremely expensive lesson for you to amend it. It's better to select it carefully or just get a custom one. It takes the artist more time to design and more time to apply. If you are ready to make a significant investment in your body art than custom design tattoos are for you.

me and my wife have matching digital clock looking number elevens on our wrists. we got engaged on nov 11 and a few other things that correspond with that number so yeah
