Self-dependant people have access to several good retirement plans including an Hr-10 (Keogh) plan, a Selg-Employed Pension plan (SEP), and IRA's.

I should check with my bank and see if they offer anything for a person like me that can only put in a very small amount monthly. It has to be something that bill collector's can't touch as my checking is already garinsheed by 2 of them.

Yes, I agree....very critical in today's economy to have some sort of savings. Regular bank (savings) accounts don't pay anything in interest. We have a bunch of mutual funds, where everything is diversified. Hope you can find something!
