oh, we had so much fun yesterday! we went to the michigan renaissance festival - one of the nation's oldest, at 30 years and counting! it is spread over 17 acres, and i was really glad that they had amigo wheelchair scooters so i could get around. however, the deluge of rain last week made the ground tricky to ride over. still - we had SUCH fun! jousting, colors, costumes, learning, and fun galore. here are some photos of princess sea, having a blast.
We went to the Renaissance Fest in Minnesota a couple of years ago and was utterly disappointed. First they charge you big bucks to get in, then turn around and sell, sell, sell all the while you're in there. The sights and sounds were cool, but I doubt I'd ever return to another festival.
My grandson enjoyed it though as he got to ride an elephant!! :))
What a joyful day! You are stuffing her full of wonderful memories that will give her joy all her life and the confidence that comes from knowing she is well loved. And she is so cute! Your sharing her growing up with us brings joy here, too.
That looks like fun! Jessie, you and Lillie always find the most wonderful things to do - I'll be looking around next year for a fair similar to this ( it was around a month ago and now gone) for my little Izzie. Lillie looks beautiful - and somewhat serious in one of the pictures. I wonder what was going on in her head.........no doubt magical knights and kings and queens, colorful horses and ladies in waiting, all manner of delights!

Your little girl Lillie is having so much fun, this makes me wish that I´d gone to the LA county fair when I was in California (the last Renaissance Faire I went to was up in Northern California, and my wife and I had a blast!) Thanks for the great photos, jessie.

I didn't know they had amigo scooters. Are they for rent there? I thought I wouldn't be able to go again for medical reasons but if they have the scooters I can go. This year we are hoping to move to a new home but maybe we could go next year. Lillie is an adorable child with one heck of a winning smile. I'm glad you do things like this with her. She will always remember it. There are more things to see in Michigan than many realize. I have a list somewhere lol. Thank you for sharing the pics.

Princess Lillie of the Sea is gorgeous - look at her - she is growing up like a little weed and more beautiful in each picture - this was a great post, Miz jessie - loved seeing your baby having so much fun! I know you did as well. Salud
