Ordered the Extras for my Camera - Thanks Gather!

Adding Amazon gift cards was one of the best rewards Gather could partner with. It opens up a world of items that couldn't be purchased through the other redemption offers.

Yesterday my final three $50 Amazon.com gift cards arrived in the mail. Within five minutes I was entering the claim codes into my saved shopping cart at the website.

Here are the items that should arrive sometime next week:

That's great, Marianne! I like the GCs, too. It allows for splurges that I wouldn't otherwise take. Right now, I almost have enough HD cards saved up for new shutters with installation on the house.

Everyone who's been whining about the changes to the cash option forget that we're getting free stuff here, regardless. I felt bad (?!) (yes, I did!) for Gather when all of that started up.

A bit green with envy here, Marianne:) It's hard to believe there is room for improvment with your pics.

I would love to even see side by side pictures like with the new lens/without. With the filter/without. I've never used any myself....so it is all new to me...
Glad I read this article...I didn't know that Amazon had been added, I'll be all over that! Anytime I can sit on my butt and shop is a win win situation.

The filters will make the most difference visually since I rarely graphically enhance my images. The macro just lets me get even closer to my subject and still be able to focus lock. I believe the telephoto is for long range shooting, like a concert or sporting event. I've never used a telephoto before.

Marianne, I can't wait to see what you do with that lens. Your photos are so great anyway. Here's a 10 to get you started on your next cash-out.

I used one gift card to buy two books I needed for this semester of graduate school. The others I'm saving for Christmas. They really come in handy. And I'm so glad they added Target and Amazon!
