Here Bella looks to the kitchen where she hopes that Naomi is preparing a bottle.

In this shot Bella grabs Tigger proudly. Fortunately he seems to like being pounded and pinched. Bella often bites his tail.

Opal doesn't care much for Bella and took refuge on top of the kitchen cabinets. She said "I'm not coming down till you get rid of that disgusting thing." As you can tell she was not pleased.

Immediately she turned away and began grooming. She said "We're done here."

Otis, Opal's co-cat is taking a watchful waiting policy with Bella. He's willing to be in the same room with her. So far he hasn't come close enough to her for me to get both in the same picture.
Tigger comes from Target, oddly enough. They have a full line of Classic Pooh stuffed toys that look like the Steiff originals that belonged to Christopher Robin. They're a definite improvement over the Disney abominations. Of course, Disney owns the Classic Pooh stuff too. The Mouse stands foursquare for getting all the money.

However, despite my cooing over Opal in the past, I am now seeing her in a new and rather uncomplimentary light. It is beneath her to act so haughty and standoffish. And her look is rather, um, evil in the first picture. I hope she is not plotting any mischieve as far as Bella is concerned.
Also, that Tigger does look astonishingly like the Steiff edition. I see them in the Wireless catalog all the time, although I knew you would have better sense than to give a small child a $100-ish stuffed toy to chew on and bang around.
I usually feel very much like Opal does in the presence of children.
Although Opal is not playing nicely with others, I can't exactly blame her. She is no longer the baby or the princess. You'd have issues too if you were replaced.
Your cat freaks me out it looks like the one off Pet Cematary.
Although Bella does look awfully huggable...
And that Bella is a splendid example of baby grandchildren. Well done, Kappy!
Yes, Opal is adorable also.
When I sat for my grand children both cats would disappear for the whole day and didn't reappear until they heard my daughter come pick up her bundle of joy. Cats sure are smart.
I mean, does she enjoy catnip?
I think that she deserves some sort of treat each and every time that Bella, the interloper, shows up uninvited (by Opal, that is).
Just an idea.
If Opal is any kind of cat, she'll never allow Bella to get near her. I can tell by her expression that she knows this. She's had her say and won't get fooled into allowing her tail to get pulled.
There was an incident over the weekend where my wife put Bella on the bed and Opal sat down next to her. Bella patted her tail. Opal stood her ground. Then Bella tried to grab Opal's tail. Opal left in a huff. :)
To whomever it may concern: I never knew what to do with young children either until I had mine. I had no idea what to say to them and I would go hide somewhere in case they might get the crazy idea of wanting something from me. Just sayin'.
Is that a pig in the background, by the hearth?
Opal is smart to remove herself from the child who pulls and bites.
MOST kitties I've ever known would rather swim across the English CHANNEL than be in the same vicinity as a toddler!
I remember my aunt bringing my cousin's gorgeous little daughter to our house... Cleopatra, my mother's cat, came around the corner, caught one look at the child and flattened herself to the floor -- a look of abject TERROR on her face -- before fleeing out the back door!
Yes I know the tigger isn't yours, yet.
