Out Of Balance
©9.17.08 Robert Burnham
Silent Comprehension
Realizing; too much to bear
The stress and the - Tension
Created by one's own fear
Rocking Equilibrium -
Crossing the Threshold, twice
The separation of Uranium
Debating; whether we are men or mice
Simply Irresistible
The Anonymity we Crave -
Still someone will Remember us
Tottering from Cradle to Grave
My Einsteinian Wisdom
I bet it all too soon
Deserting Pudendum
& Charging towards the Moon

Life is rarely balanced, from what I've seen. When we're riding high, a fall will follow. When we're down, we know we'll be up again. Change is the only constant in our lives.
I guess the closest to feeling balanced we get get is to learn to accept change and embrace serenity.
a different style from your ususal I loved it !!but then I love most of your writing
I suspect writing this probably relaxed your mind enough to go to bed(?). Funny. Sometimes when you are dead tired, physically or mentally, you can do something you enjoy (like writing) and decompress from the days activities.
Great poem!

(I'm going through a Spanish phase)
None of us all truly in balance right now.
With the hurricanes, cost of food rising, gas, other things..
Hopefully, change will come with the new president.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Spanish John? Getting ready to smuggle yourself across the Rio Grande?
You balance me. It is wonderful. Thanks. It helped me more than you will know.
