Ok...I ran across a post here about squidoo and how you make money making these lens.
I made one, calling it Gifts Galore and More, and am using it to promote my website, my auctions, and some of the paid to clicks that I do...and my gather posts too.
It doesn't get many hits in a week at all.
The other day I made another lens calling it homeschoolhelpers. I thought maybe that one would do better, maybe more interest since I'm not promoting trying to earn money.
I can see the concept of squidoo being on the side of social networking. I mean, I would think if you continue to click to other lens and leave comments, that those might come looks at yours as well.
I've joined some groups pertaining to each of my lens.....I looked at other lens that show within mine to be on the same subject and left comments too.
I thought I could put the lens in the traffic exchanges that I do but I can't because they are framebreakers.
I put the first link through to an email group that I am in.
How do you go about getting your lens or lenses seen? So far I am still showing no money made.
I read that you can become a giant squid by building 50 or more lenses. Wow! I have no imagination really, and other than making one on crocheting I don't know what else I would build one on. I could do one on freebies and list links each day, but I get all my links for freebies from posts here at gather so I would feel like I was stealing if I then put the links on to my lens.
I did a search here on gather and read some posts about squidoo. If you have posted on it, please direct me to your post. If you have any suggestions on how to make a go of it with squidoo, please leave me a comment about it.
