As soon as it begins to get chilly at night - my mind goes to food. In winter we tend to be indoors more and the house just smells better when there is the aroma of food. LOL
You are going to love these. They are so simple to make. They are made from scratch so you probably have all the ingredients in the pantry already.
Chocolate Lover's Oatmeal Delight Cookies
1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter flavored chips
1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda
and salt. Set aside.
2. In a very large mixing bowl. beat butter with an electric mixer
on medium speed for 30 seconds.
3. Add the sugar and beat mixture until combined, scraping sides of
bowl occasionally. Beat in egg, water, and vanilla until combined.
Beat in as much of the flour mixture as you can.
4. Using a wooden spoon, stir in any remaining flour mixture and the
rolled oats. Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.
5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on an
ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes or until
edges are set. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and cool.

Just kidding~
THe cookies sound good (minus the peanutbutter chips of coarse).
I just love chocolate (organic of course) and anything with cinnamon.
I too would leave out the peanut butter chips.
Thanks for the recipe.

Diana
