Zeus eats and drinks  with his paws....... do yours??

 

He dips it in and swipes some up......

Then eats it!!

My dog used to run around in the mud and then dip his muddy paws in his water dish as he drank.

Stella plays with her food all the time... I think she thinks she is a cat, but she will bat it around and go in for the "kill" before she eats it sometimes.... with every single little piece of food... It takes her hours to eat. Luckily, this doesn't happen everyday...

Oh Robyn, all mine have different eating habits! Bella likes to make soup, she will take the food on her paw, dip it into water, and then eat it off her paw! Its something to watch. Allie, my little girl, she opens her mouth like a snake, I swear she is double jointed, and she uses her lower jaw to shovel the food into her mouth! They also all try to cover the food and water - NO idea why or where that came from. Do yours do that too? I hate it, I always think about the dirt and stuff that is flying up into their food. No matter how clean I keep it, I always think about that. Just little particles flying up -YUCK. So I get obsessive about keeping their food and bowls clean lol. Your Zeus is way too cute!!!

I've had and seen cats that did this every ONCE in a while... But certainly NOT ALL the time! There's a video I've seen of a cat that's been taught to eat with a FORK; probably because he already exhibited this same behavior as Zeus and all they had to do, really, was "rubberband" the fork to its paw!

My daughter's cat HAS to move the water bowl before he will drink. Trouble is, he sloshes water on the floor. She has tried getting hard to move bowls, but he just yanks harder and sloshes more water. So, she just went back to a bowl that slides easier. Cats are funny.

That's so cute! My cat, Tigger, used to make soup like Pamela's cat Bella. He also used to "swim" with his paws on the floor as he was drinking. My other cat, Heidi, used to like to move her water bowl too. She also used to do that to my glass of water, which would just end up in her dumping the glass. Precious kitties!

Mine do with their kibble but not the water. They won't drink out of bowls. Missy only drinks running water from the faucet and Fuzzy likes a bowl but Missy won't leave it alone and spills it all over so I have to have water in the sink in a bowl for him.

My dog seems to know when I'm taking his pic because he will stop, sit and look up at the camera, but...he always has his eyes closed or half closed, like never gets an sleep!..lol..

No none of my kitties have ever done that, Wednesday is the first kitty I've had tho who can't see water and must have moving water or ice cubes so she can tell there is water there!!

I don't have any pets, but my two year old son sometimes puts his fork down and eats somewhat like that. It makes a huge mess.

I had one cat that drank that way, not eat but drank water or milk. Maybe he just likes the feel on his foot or he likes to lick his foot and does this so he can scratch it. LOL Cute either way.

My little Persian girl does it every time she eats...I think she doesn't want to put her nose into the food, as flat as her face is she might snort a crumb or two. She doesn't do it with water.

Another of my cats only wants water out of my bedside cup so I keep a travel mug with a closed lid there--only way to keep it solely for my use. He also loves ice cubes and frosted glasses....

My third 'child' doesn't have much of a preference one way or another.
