We head for Minnesota next Monday, early morning! We are very excited, but I do feel a bit alarmed with the economy & how the Wall Street drops are going to affect us.
We do our portion of the closing this Thursday morning. The buyers do their portion on Friday morning, in Dallas.
Today we are taking a break & going to the Tyler, TX zoo. We have a buy 1 get 1 free admission ticket. So my Husband & I are going to go. Our Daughter doesn't want to go, so we are going without her! We will also visit our favorite mexican restaurant for lunch today.
I go into work this Thursday, which I just now realized is the same day as closing - problem. I have to go into work to walk the new girl through the whole payroll process. She started in the middle of a pay period, so we couldn't go through it at all.
They are having a pot-luck lunch for me Thursday as well. I'm looking forward to it!
Today I am bringing the dogs in to get their nails trimmed & to talk about some pills to calm Lucky down for the trip. She drools lots & foams at the mouth on a 1 hour drive - we will be in the car for 2 days.
So far we have not secured a rental. Most people don't want to talk short-term rental & we plan on closing on the new house in November or sooner. So we might have to stay at my sister's for a week or two, until we are able to secure a rental after we get there. Which is not the ideal situation - especially since we have pets. But we will make it work.

We have put it all in God's hands & are doing all that we can to facilitate the closing. Should be early next week.
