Inside there's tips for recycling and tips for sorting items used for projects and even some intereting facts about paper, plastic, metal and fabric. There are also full color illustrations and easy to follow step by step instructions to make the items. They show ideas to expand on the original project as well to get those young imaginations going. I really like the variety of the projects presented here and there's something for everyone in here.
Gideon hasn't sat down to make anything yet since he's been pretty busy with school, but I plan to have a family craft time soon and I'm sure this book will be coming out for ideas and inspiration.
As a parent I just love the idea of using ordinary trash to make cool items. We all know how important it is to allow our kids to explore art and creativity, and we also know how expensive craft materials are. This book's a winner.
