Obama picked Biden. A candidate clearly on the inside of Washington. Experienced. Talks alot but uses his own voice. Strong where Obama isn't. Clearly a good choice for America.
McCain picks Palin. She doesn't talk to the press. She is willing to sell out her own child for political gain. She is anti personal choice. Clearly a good choice for McCain but not for America.

She is a great diversion and her biggest qualification is her woman parts. If McCain had picked Romney we would have to focus on the issues because everyone is familiar with Romney and it wouldnt be this big media feeding frenzy we have now.
And people would realize the "maverick" McCain is about as much a reform candidate as George Bush.
The last thing McCain wants is anyone to focus on the issues.
He is working people and more specifically womens emotions.
So that's what we should do - and tie those issues to his corrupt party.

Sandy couldnt have said it better myself.
And by marching to her own drum does that mean do whatever she wants regardless of what is good for the people?
And the use of her power for personal gain?
And her "do as I say not as I do" form of leadership?
That is what I am seeing.
Thank you, Joseph! This election is about the issues and parties. McCain/Palin are puppets for their corrupt party and we should not let anyone forget or distort that.
The economy will sink Bush/McCain.
No matter who you want to vote for, there is no way you can say Palin is establishment. She definitely marches to her own drummer. And no matter what you want to hope about Obama, he's definitely given in to the party faithful since making whatever deal he made with the Clintons. I suspect she's counting on him not winning and running herself in four years. Particularly after all the horrible things she said about him, how can you believe she's now decided he's someone she trusts to lead the country. Be honest with yourself, what has he said that is new?? He says change, but he spouts off the same old "I care about the factory worker" stuff that Clinton said and in fact Bush has said in his State of the Union speeches for the last 8 years and most of the Presidents before him. They all want you to think they care about the little person, but the truth of the matter is that Obama's part of the elite, not a little person. He went to a fancy private school in Hawaii. He went to Harvard. He's in the top 1 % of income earners in the US.
Look at what people have done, not what they say. If you don't like McCain's reforms and bills submitted (passed or not) don't vote for him, but to trust someone like Obama who has no actions to stand behind his words, that's a little scary. At least we know that McCain was willing to put his country first when he was a POW, and when he sponsored campaign reform when no one else would. He adopted children who needed help long before he was a national candidate for President.
A very wise man said, "It's not the kind of man you are when everyone's looking, it's the kind of man you are when no one's looking."
That's what I mean by looking at someone's actions.
I'd love to hear what Obama's done, besides having friends who openly say they want to blow up the United States. How can he stomach talking to those people if he loves his country so much?
Folks, only time will answer which team the electorate puts more faith in.
I think Obama's choice, of Sen. Biden, for his running mate does speak volumes about any deals he made with the Clintons. After all, he's been chanting "Hope" and "Change" to anyone who'll listen for well over a year.
And who does he pick? An aging, 36-yr. veteran of Washington. Doesn't sound like an agent of that "change" and "hope" type, now does it?
No, Biden (who should really consider simply duct-taping his mouth shut until after the election - I mean really, the man is an SNL skit all by himself) is an insider who will give Obama the backing of party leaders that he will need if he gets elected.
The choice of Palin for a running mate was sheer upstaging of the Obama campaign. The "hope" and "change" candidate finds himself facing a truly remarkable pairing. The elder maverick and the young, no-nonsense, non-political, firebrand. True "change", and true "hope" for a campaign that was seriously in need of a boost.
This entire election is one for the history books, and I am glad I was here to take part in it.
You got that right CA...more religious faith.
These people are zealots and she is their anointed one.
I'm the biggest feminist around and I woulld not vote for her or anyone else because of her gender.
I make my decisions based on the context of the person's character and she is extremely lacking.
Sarah, I hoped you were kidding when I read these lines. Did I miss something? Was she not a Republican before this week? How could she be Governor of a state in this country and not be familiar with the positions and issues of her party, or know what is going on in her country?
I'm flabbergasted. I can't believe anyone would try to excuse her responsibility to possess the knowledge and experience for the position she accepted.
