A Foundation Brush Is Not All It is Cracked Up To Be

LOL, it is true, I don't see a need for a foundation brush. The fingers can do a much better job, perhaps you can use it for powdered blush instead, so it won't be a total waste of money. That was one of those expensive mistakes that we all make. Hope you can find some use for it.

I would take the darn thing back and ask for my money back next time you are in the area. ( I'm the kind never to waste gas.) What a bummer.

LOL - I like how they tell you you'll "save money" on foundation by buying their $25 brush. I wonder how many years you'd have to waste foundation by using your fingers to make up the difference. I bet most of us use our fingers.

With most of the premium make ups, you can return it. I have gotten foundation from Estee Lauder (for example) that did not look good in natural lighting, so I returned it. No questions asked.

Just return it on a day your "friend" isn't working.

I'm sorry the brush isn't working for you.

Professionals probably know how to use a brush - sounds like you are picking up way too much - then you have to feather out what you already applied.
I have one brush that I use for bronzer occassionally - a good brush works wonders, otherwise it streaks.
Connie, I would not have purchased it once I realized how much they are asking. It's one trap I don't fall into any more - if I forget to ask how much it is - I politely say, thank you, but that is more than I planned to spend today.

I don't remember what I spent on that bronzer brush, but it is worth it. The $10 brush collection kit I bought once - is worthless.

I never used a foundation brush until recently, myself; however, I had one from a make-up special. I've been switching over to vegan approved make-up; although, I'm wearing make up less and less. Being an artist I like the idea of using a brush for make up. Your article made me think to look up a good brush. The one I found is $28. I will look the next time I'm in Whole Foods or a health food store. I recently missed out I guess because a local health food store had just discontinued the make up section and had virtually sold out at considerable buys. I use a foundation brush and like it. Practice will help make it easier to use. Try using less foundation and brushing down and out.

Also, you can return it if you need to.

I've never used a brush for foundation. Then again, I rarely wear the stuff.

I usually do not wear makeup. If I do it is my Bare Minerals which is a power foundation so you use a brush

I had never even heard of foundation brushes. I use a makeup sponge.

I get taken like that too and I never use those overpriced brushes

I am one of those who doesn't like makeup enough to use foudation, it feels weird to me. I do use a light moisturizer and I feel I look pretty good for a oher of a soon to be 39 year old

You are actually lucky that the thing only set you back $25. It could've been worse.

I never wear the stuff either, so I would have no clue...and we don't use foundation for dance make up.

I used to sell Avon. I know that most women don't need the majority of the stuff that these companies sell.

Oh no, that's not good, I'd return it next trip! If they don't give you your money back maybe you'll get a store credit, either way you won't be out $25.00.

I worked for Origins for years and we never used them. At most, we would use the little sponges, but stopped using those when we realized all of the waste that it made.

Still, every new tool takes time to get the hang of and it doesn't cost you any more money to keep trying it.

That's an outrageous price! I'd try to return it.

Thanks for the update. i have always only used my fingers or a papertower myself to put my liquad foundation on. I never use to much loose powder myself and I use a compact also.

I've never bought one. But I have wasted money on more useless things. At least it sounds like you could make this work for you with a little practice.

I didn't know there was such a thing. I've seen the foam wedge things but not an actual brush.

I love the foundation brush, and believe it definitely improves the appearance of foundation on the skin. You will also use less product when using a foundation brush. But then, I am a make-up artist.....
