I went to the Elizabeth Arden Counter a few years ago and needed some foundation. I wear their foundation because it has moisturizer added in the anti-aging formula. I know I am getting old but I plan on fighting it tooth and nail along the way.
Now back to my story. The lady at the counter and I had become very well acquainted over the years. She ask if I needed a new foundation brush. I just looked at her because I used my fingers to put on my foundation. She said " Oh this brush is great. It makes your make up go on smoother and does not take as much make up as your using your fingers." OK I am all for saving money so if this brush is going to save me money and make me look better... Woo Hoo I want this brush!
Dummy Me did not ask what the brush cost. (never do that). She added up my products and I could not believe it. The brush cost $25. That is $25.00 for something that I did not even know I needed until now.
Well it is too late to re-nigh on the purchase. I Paid my money and went home to use this new brush that is going to make me look better.
What the heck???? I look like someone took a paint brush and painted my face. I have streaks on it. Now I have to smooth it out with my fingers. Tell me again why I needed this $25.00 foundation brush?
Note To Self: Never purchase a Foundation Brush again!

Just return it on a day your "friend" isn't working.
It is too stiff to use a blush brush. LOL
JF,
It is an hour drive away. LOL
Amy,
Are you laughing at me too. LOL
Holli,
I suggest you continue using your fingers. LOL
LOL She seems to always be there. That is how we got to know each other. I swear I don't think she gets a day off. LOL
I have one brush that I use for bronzer occassionally - a good brush works wonders, otherwise it streaks.
Connie, I would not have purchased it once I realized how much they are asking. It's one trap I don't fall into any more - if I forget to ask how much it is - I politely say, thank you, but that is more than I planned to spend today.
I don't remember what I spent on that bronzer brush, but it is worth it. The $10 brush collection kit I bought once - is worthless.
Also, you can return it if you need to.
I tried the sponges too and did not like them. I like using my fingers. LOL
You are actually lucky that the thing only set you back $25. It could've been worse.
You mean they have brushes that cost more????
Wow!! I am out of the loop
Still, every new tool takes time to get the hang of and it doesn't cost you any more money to keep trying it.
