During our trip to Cazma Croatia, Uncle Dragec prepared Fish for Cristjen Carlos birthday feast.
Before we arrived he had caught and cleaned the fish. He came out with a pile of fish, and stakes which had been pointed on one end and split on the other. They rubbed salt into the fish and proceeded to prepare it.
Dragec put the fish into the split end of the stake. Vjeko used a bit of wire to hold the split end closed. They used a wooden skewer to hold the widest part of the fish open.

Dinner! Each guest was given a stake with a fish. We started by picking out chunks of tender meat from large boneless pockets. We ended by picking the last bit of meat from the small bones.
