I haven't been reading much. In fact, I haven't read a book for 3 or 4 months now!!! So I decided to visit the library's website and see if they had anything good. Well turns out, I've missed quite a few Stephen King books lately! So I borrowed "The Colorado Kid" from the library. I could NOT put it down. It isn't a very long book, 178 pages I think, but it is a great suspense novel. I don't think it was much like anything King has written in the past.
I'm used to gore, monsters, vampires, huge insects, aliens, etc. This book is all about a man who is found dead on a beach propped up against a litter basket. There isn't that much "scary" about the book, but I felt compelled to keep turning the page trying to solve the mystery. For those of you who are not fans of Stephen King, I will highly recommend this book. You will be surprised to find the master of horror can write mystery novels as well!
