This is what I made for dinner tonight. With cooler weather coming, warm comfort food is appealing. These are quite simple to make, tasty, nutritious and very economical.

Rob Appell, it is a multipurpose item! But which ever way you think of them, they are hot!
FYI- if you add a little cumin and cayenne to the filling, then deep fry them, you have Empanadas.
They were very popular with miners - they could hold their whole meal in 1 hand to eat it down in the mines.
Gather Broadcasting: Have it your way
Time to raid the fridg.
Spices can be added for personal taste. No deep frying here, Donna. I try hard to keep saturated fats out of our diet. My husband has heart disease.
These are really quite simple to make and you can improvise according to your family's preferences.
