As governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin has championed aerial gunning of wolves and bears. Using powerful images of this needless and brutal practice -- and the indisputable facts about Palin's promotion of it -- we've created a hard-hitting new television ad to educate voters about what Governor Sarah Palin really stands for.
As governor, Sarah Palin...
Proposed paying a $150 bounty for the left foreleg of each dead wolf.
Approved a $400,000 state-funded propaganda campaign to promote aerial hunting.
Introduced legislation to make it even easier to use aircraft to hunt wolves and bears.

Wow! The Democrats in Congress are trying to remove themselves from Obama! OMG
It won't work for Ms. lipstick 08. She has already done another flip flop on the issue.
Ms.lipstick flunked her first interview on ABC even though it was taped and scripted lol, not bad for a wanna be Daniel Boone.

I have killed many bear, moose, wolves, coyotes, and elephants as well as most big game in Africa but have never advocated wiping out any species for profit.
If a wolf ever killed or attacked one of my dogs, I would get a gun and shoot them myself!
I can't find any such thing... can you show me the unbiased link that says she want's to wipe out a species for profit?
Great article, Winston. Thanks for the link!
2) I thought that part of the mystique for living in Alaska was to be close to nature and the wild, and having a higher risk of wildlife infringing on humans goes with the territory. That shouldn't be a license to promote inhumane practices.
3) If this is the type of philosophy that charges up conservatives, and thrills them to the point of ecstasy because they think it is so vexing to liberals, well they can have it. Truth is, they are more focused on pissing off liberals than what is good for the country or themselves. They've been lied to for 8 years by Bush/Rove and made to look like fools, but they all they can think about is pissing off liberals. Have fun guys, and get screwed some more. It would be sad if it wasn't so funny.
Doesn't take much to make repuke cowards start running for the closet.
I don't believe that. Why shouldn't I take my dog for a walk with me if I want to without a pack of wolves attacking us? They also kill dogs that are tied outside and eat them.
It makes more sense to thin them so the ones that are left will have more to eat and they won't be attacking people's dogs for food.
I have killed more wolves than you will ever see now go back and fix Palin's lipstick.
Lera what gives you the right to claim the whole world as your own?
That's quite a stretch there. The whole world as mine? I don't think that at all.
Just get ready to fix Palin's smudged lipstick when she runs back to her ice cube crying Micky lol.
Of course she supports big business its the only reason to build a bridge to nowhere.
You really should change your image, cowboys were real Americans not corporate fascists.
Saving endangered animals is not on Plains list of things to do but it is just one of her many failings as a political leader.
You should give considerable thought to the fact when you take McCain you take Palin with him and at his age and his history of cancer their is a good chance she will take his place as president and then where does that leave the country?
Things in America are much worse than most people want to admit and we cannot stand any more bad policy or we will be finished in many ways that made us a great country to live in.
Sandy, nice replied, you write beautifully.
Too bad for some; that some of us do think!
The wing nuts supporting Palin and her wish to have Alaska as her private game hunting preserve is so disgusting its a blight on the rest of the human race.
I lived in the wilderness of Alaska for several years and I have the facts straight and creating a business out of the destruction of wildlife is wrong and as far off base as you can get. Their is no need for animal pelts today and wildlife control is not supporting any kind of business venture.
I would put my knowledge and experience against Palin and anyone else in America and Ms. moose hunter 08 is just another republican neocon playing kiss ass with big business.
Before you start spouting facts try showing some.
Political preference are for party followers not free thinking Americans and has nothing to do with what is right in protecting wildlife from corporate cons.
I would not have any objection if it was strictly controlled so as not to endanger the species out of existence and controls are put in place so that the public of this country and other countries would be advised exactly what they were buying.
But as far as controls by the FDA we have seen how easy it is to pay them off and put bad food on the market so I do not have any idea how to put controls into effect that would be meaningful. At this time our government is so corrupt control is just a joke and easily bought off with a few dollars.
BTW Sandy I do not wear knickers lol.
The Bush administration is a crooked and socialist as any administration could ever be.
The use of horse meat as food is not really feasible under the present administration but maybe in the future when and if we can get our political parties straightened out.
At least if they are used for food when it is necessary to thin their herds it is not a total waste.
Would you allow the Buffalo to become over populated because they were almost whipped out? Buffalo multiply like flies so what is the answer? Do we move back across the sea or do we find and manage the animals in a meaningful and humane way?
