First, let me begin to say, I am far removed from being a male chauvinist pig, yet what I am going to state next might just make me one in certain people's minds. McCain's choosing of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate is nothing more than his attempt at influencing the easily influenced, which is in this case, those women who were or are on the fence post and whose minds are easily swayed. By bringing in one of their own, McCain is hoping to capture those votes that would have other wise gone to Hillary and are now up for grabs and for the taking.
The GOP sure is running scared and clutching at anything and everything, that might help them keep their tight grasp on the White House, even if it means playing to those feeble minded who will vote against their own convictions and I wonder how many will fall for this trap and how many will see it for what it is, a poorly disguised effort at chauvinism.
