At first, when I read this, I thought it was a joke. Shockingly, I realize it is not a joke. You mean, he has to consult with someone to tell him what he believes? Amazing.

When Barack Obama is asked a question, he may pause and make some inaudible sounds, and probably says "look" to often, but when he does finally make his statement it is well thought out and honest. If McCain tried to do this his head would fall off.

That's horrifying. And that kind of ignorance is supposed to be a leader? How can he lead if he doesn't understand something that basic.

I just called Brian to ask my position on this article. I'm sure I support the president's view on this article. Oh, wait -- I don't think I can wait for Brian to call back. I think you'll find an equal measure of such gaffes , but they're simply contained better from public scrutiny, with EVERY POLITICIAN (I'm not sure how to do italics here, so I have to use caps -- sorry). It's not that there's no personal policy, it's that politicians are trying too hard to reach across the largest base possible to sell their political "product," and are too scared to post their thoughts. The only reason Obama can seem so self-assured is because of his vagueness and his ability to use communication devices like emotionality developed to elicit the desired response (about which I'm wiriting an article). Change (implied to be within the established norm -- after all, real mavericks don't get votes) has been the age-old proposal for centuries. Hope, Change, Unity -- these are all vague things you can't bring through politics, they're simply notions that feel really good to talk about. Tell when was the last time Congress passed a bill about change, hope, or unity. They're not practical matters as long as people don't become self-actualized and exercise their personal responsibilities to these ideals. Good catch, though. I liked it.

Obama does not want sex education for five year olds. He supported a bill that would inform kids about molestation and what to do if they are touched inappropriately. The McCain ad is a lie!

If the government eventually decided to overturn Roe v. Wade then it had better stay in sex education.

McCain's time as a POW exempts him from having to answer questions he doesn't have an answer for. He was giving the reporter a break. :)

Sex education is not something to play politics about.
Young children who learn from first boyfriends/girlfriends and peers often misplace priorities and they may never recover from the ignorance. There are things that cannot be cleaned up.
