Renaissance

I received a renaissance today
It uplifted my soul
I felt myself fly
over trees and fields, green as emeralds
through the sky, the beauty of the sea
stunned into a mesmerized state
its refulgence overwhelmed me
you are a dreamers dream
my heart amplifies
your voice is an epiphany
you haunt me
I had not realized how much I had missed you
until today
today we are reunited
my soul desires union
with all who see and hear
I wish I could share with the universe
every soothing note you play
the delicious excitment you evoke
the majesty when you draw near
the ectasy that you call forward
exquisite voluptuous pleasure and pain
my awe touches the moon
dominating the tides
I fly faster
higher, higher, higher
Ashes Are Burning
And all I feel is love

Beautiful imagery , I could feel the floating beauty of tranquility , kind of like a dance revealing everything beautiful and cathartic that I find at times is hidden in music .

You write beautifully.

She's got a wonderful voice. The only other person I've ever heard with a range like that was Anna Maria Alberghetti (I'm sure I spelled that wrong). When I first heard her sing Beautiful Candy, she knocked my socks off.

Sharon, I saw them in concert at the Warner Theatre in WDC. We had to sit on the floor because it was SRO, someone spilled soda all over me, it was a wonderful night. I walked up to the stage to see her up close and she was a tiny person, maybe 5' or 5' 2". But out of her mouth came this amazing voice that just captivated me. There is also Yma Sumac
who I learned of from my dad (he was reviewing something she did) who had a 4.5 octave range. Amazing voice.

Janie, I know my dad hated them, I think they are amazing. Click on the link and listen, then judge for yourself. Opinions are like what we sit on, we all have them. I try not to pass judgement on things I don't like. So for me there is music I like and music I don't like. Just because it isn't my taste does not make it bad necessarily.
