The Final Four - Finished Georgia Fair Photos

Well, I still have not decided on the animal, but I am 99% sure I'll be submitting the Gerbera Daisy for the plantlife entry.

These are the final pieces that I got back today. The sun was already setting on the back deck. So the natural lighting isn't ideal. Basically the matting is brown for the gerbera, plum for the dahlia, dark green for the bees and an even darker green for the butterfly.

I'll probably end up tossing a coin to pick the animal photo entry between these two. I simply cannot decide.

They are all beautiful Marianne....I, personally, am partial to the butterfly...you can't go wrong with any of the 4 shots. They are all wonderful.

I did call over there today. I got some older (like way older) woman on the phone. She couldn't answer some of my questions, but apparently, when you get there, the people checking things in will help with the forms....if you don't know what to put or say.

I would go with the dahlia and the butterfly, but I'm not judging them. If they where mine I'd spend too much time picking nits and forget about the competition! lol They're all very impressive. Good luck.

They are all wonderful...but I think the butterfly may be looked upon more favorably by the judges.

Speaking of the judges, do you know who they are? ...do you have names?

I could arrange for them to find a horse head (or worse) in their bed if you want....

LOL, Kevin. No I don't have any idea anything about the judges, but in reading the catalog judges are not allowed to judge areas where they have an interest or have entered. So that basically tells me that these won't be judged so much by photograpgy skills as they will be by appealing subject.

Still love the dahlia - great choice on that one.
Out of the other 2 I would pick the butterfly on the flower one. I feel like the image pops out to me more than the other - which may be due to matting color, but the flower & center of the flower pops more for me.

Well I like the detail on the gerbera better than the dahlia. But I'll probably go with the butterfly in the end.
