The Mall, Avon, and Sherrilyn Kenyon

Today, I spent the day at the mall again, so that I could meet with Kiros and sign up to sell Avon. Yes, I'm aiming to be a one-stop shop for anything you could want, from Ameriplan health plans to books to databases to Avon. I got all signed up, and then I  had the rest of the day to spend in the mall til Ken got off work.

I didn't really have money to shop, but there's a Borders Express in Northlake Mall that has armchairs and you can sit and read the books and nobody cares, so I went and looked through some travel books for a while. Then I went and sat at the fountain and read almost all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Night Pleasures book. This is the third Dark  Hunter book I've read, and I really love the way Sherrilyn mixes Greek mythology, vampires and other mythical creatures, and romance. I do believe Dark Hunters was the best yet. I also like the fact that while her books are certainly steamy, the men fall just as hard for the women and the women do for them, and the women do just as much rescuing as the men do. The relationships are really very equal in Sherrilyn's books, and I like that. She has very strong women characters, capable of dealing with gods and demigods.

So that's what I did with my day. It's probably the last mallrat day for me for months, but I enjoyed it today.
